Rental controls in Bristol vs Paris

Following on from our first post about rental controls which are being proposed in Bristol, We have had a look at the Paris market which also has had rental controls added. 

According to Century 21, rental investors have “deserted” the Parisian property market.  They have instead looked to invest in areas outside the controlled areas in the City. Which is the opposite of what the Bristol market needs. We believe that Bristol City Council need to strike a fair balance between Landlords and Tenants in Bristol which incentives investors to develop and build new rental properties in order to increase the supply of property available. Then at the same time protect tenants rights to ensure they can afford and feel safe in their accommodation.
